BRAIN BOOST
• Children have their bricks on their tables.
• Teacher calls out instructions:
• Take your red brick, stand up. Throw it up and
catch it 10 times; put it back; sit down and carry
on with your work!
• Build a strong cube.
Q: Can you throw it from your left hand to your
right hand?
Variations:
• Vary this activity and do at any time of the day
when the children need a change / motivation
to finish work.
• Stand up, balance a cube under your chin for
ten seconds, then sit down and continue with
your work.
• Pass the cube around your body five times;
continue with your work.
WALK THE
ROPE
• Use your 6 bricks to build a cube.
• Balance it on your head while you walk
along a rope / line drawn by Teacher in
the classroom / playground.
Q: Can you bend down and up again
without the cube falling off your head?
Q: Can you balance the cube anywhere
else on your body and walk on the
rope / line?
