          Sorting





































          This activity can be used with the mat set up as horizontal or vertical. Start by collecting all the bricks in
          both hands and then dropping them in one go onto the mat


          Questions to ask
          •  How many bricks landed on a line?
          •  How many bricks landed between lines?
          •  How many bricks landed on their side?
          •  How many bricks land upside down - on their studs?
          •  How many bricks landed to the (left or right of) (above or below) the red line?
          •  How many bricks landed off the mat?
          •  How many bricks touched line No. 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 - grey rectangles?
          •  (If line 1 = 1, line 2 = 2, etc.) What is the value of the bricks touching lines?
          •  How many studs are facing up / down / to the side?

          Variations
          •  Move all HOT coloured bricks (above) (to the left of) the red line
          •  Move all COLD coloured bricks (below) (to the right of) the red line
          •  Throw individual bricks onto the mat from a distance. (Award points for landing on the red line, on other
              lines, for the way the bricks land etc.)
